Mochi (/ˈmoʊtʃiː/ MOH-chee; Japanese もち, 餅 ⓘ) is a Japanese rice cake made of mochigome (もち米), a short-grain japonica glutinous rice, and sometimes other ingredients such as water, sugar, and cornstarch.
