Pseudobulbar affect

Pseudobulbar affect (PBA), or emotional incontinence, is a neurological disorder characterized by brief, intense, uncontrollable episodes of crying or laughing. The affect is triggered by emotionally trivial or neutral stimuli that are not necessarily related to the emotional state.
