Middle dot

A middle dot (·), also known as an interpoint, interpunct, raised dot, middot, medial point,: 16 or centered dot, is a punctuation mark consisting of a vertically centered dot that appears in a variety of uses in some modern languages. It was often used for interword separation in Classical Latin.
