Capua: History & Regions

Capua (/ˈkæpjuə/ KAP-yoo-ə; Italian: ) is a city and comune in the province of Caserta, in the region of Campania, southern Italy, located on the northeastern edge of the Campanian plain on the Volturno river. The town was founded after the destruction of Ancient Capua, now Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
