Hoax

Hoax () označuje nevyžádanou klamavou zprávu, která je formulována tak, aby způsobila bezmyšlenkovité přijetí a další rozesílání uživatelem počítače (e-mailem, online zprávami, sdílením na sociálních sítích). Používá mystifikaci, polopravdy, lež, někdy až žertovné vyznění, které však příjemce kvůli emociálnímu náboji zprávy nevnímá.
