Fáma (také domněnka či zvěst, anglicky rumour či rumor) je téměř vždy smyšlená, polopravdivá či nepravdivá informace o člověku, jevu či události ze všech sfér soudobého či současného života. V hovorovém jazyce se někdy označuje také slovem mýtus.
