Khmer script (Khmer: អក្សរខ្មែរ, Âksâr Khmêr ) is an abugida (alphasyllabary) script used to write the Khmer language, the official language of Cambodia. It is also used to write Pali in the Buddhist liturgy of Cambodia and Thailand.
