The Dahije (Serbian Cyrillic: Дахије, from Turkish: dayı) were the renegade Janissary officers who revolted against the Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II and took power in the Pashalik of Belgrade, after capturing and murdering Vizier Hadji Mustafa Pasha in 1801.
