Chợ Lớn

Chợ Lớn (Chinese: 堤岸), usually anglicized as "Cholon" in English sources, is an unofficial quarter of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Historically a city separate from Sài Gòn prior to its urbanization in the 1930s-1950s, the quarter has long been inhabited by Chinese people and is considered the largest Chinatown in the world by area.
