Bashiqa (Arabic: بعشيقة, romanized: Ba'shīqah; Kurdish: بەعشیقە, romanized: Başîqa; Syriac: ܒܥܫܝܩܐ) is a town situated at the heart of the Nineveh plain, between Mosul and Sheikhan, on the edges of Mount Maqlub. The inhabitants of the town are predominantly Yazidis.
