Terpeny

Terpeny (spolu s terpenoidy se také nazývají izoprenoidy) jsou organické sloučeniny složené ze sloučenin, které mají vzorec (C5H8)n. Tyto nenasycené uhlovodíky, které obsahují více než 30 000 sloučenin, jsou převážně rostlinného původu. Jejich molekuly se skládají ze dvou nebo více isoprenových jednotek, a proto patří mezi isoprenoidy.
