Arthur Schopenhauer

Arthur Schopenhauer (22. února 1788, Gdaňsk – 21. září 1860, Frankfurt nad Mohanem) byl německý filosof 19. století. Byl představitelem pesimistické filosofie, a ač zůstal za svého života téměř neznámý, svým přesvědčením o iracionálním základě světa výrazně ovlivnil mnoho pozdějších myslitelů, např. Friedricha Nietzscheho.
