Nimrud

Nimrud (Nimrúd) bylo starověké asyrské město, které leželo na řece Tigris jižně od Ninive. Ve starověkém období se nazývalo Kalchu (Kalach). Arabové ho později nazývali Nimrud podle legendárního lovce Nimroda.
