Velký hadronový urychlovač

Velký hadronový urychlovač (Large Hadron Collider – LHC; doslovný překlad Velký hadronový srážeč) je největší urychlovač částic na světě, pracovat začal 10. září 2008. Je umístěn v podzemí na území mezi pohořím Jura ve Francii a Ženevským jezerem ve Švýcarsku. Na jeho návrhu se podílelo přes 2000 vědců ze 34 zemí světa.
