Heterozygot

Heterozygot je jedinec, jehož genotyp je v daném lokusu tvořen odlišnými alelami umístěnými na homologních chromozomech. Tento stav se označuje jako heterozygotnost (heterozygocie) a jejím opakem je homozygotnost (homozygocie). Stručně je to organismus, jehož obě alely zkoumaného genu jsou vzájemně různé.
