Datel černý

Datel černý (Dryocopus martius) je velký druh šplhavce z čeledi datlovitých (Picidae), který je široce rozšířen v palearktické oblasti včetně Česka. Areál výskytu druhu se táhne od Španělska na sever do Skandinávie a pokračuje na východ až po Kamčatku a Japonsko. Stanoviště druhu tvoří jehličnaté, smíšené i listnaté lesy staršího typu.
