Chloral, též známý jako trichloracetaldehyd (systematický název trichlorethanal), je organická sloučenina se vzorcem Cl3CCHO. Tento aldehyd je za běžných podmínek bezbarvá olejovitá kapalina mísitelná se širokou škálou rozpouštědel. S vodou reaguje za vzniku chloralhydrátu, dříve používaného jako sedativum a hypnotikum.
