Kalmodulin (CaM, též calmodulin) je všudypřítomný protein, který se napříč různými eukaryotickými liniemi života liší jen velmi málo (je velmi evolučně konzervativní). Při zvýšené koncentraci vápníku v buňce váže vápenaté (Ca2+) ionty a následně aktivuje řadu jiných proteinů.
