WIAT (channel 42), known as Alabama's 42, is a television station in Birmingham, Alabama, United States, owned by Nexstar Media Group. It is currently an independent station but will become the market's outlet for The CW on September 1, 2026. WIAT's studios are on Golden Crest Drive atop Red Mountain, where its tower is also located.
