Vritti

Vritti (Vrutti) (Sanskrit: वृत्ति, Harvard-Kyoto: vṛtti), means "streams of consciousness", it is also a technical term used in yoga with five specifically defined "movements of thought" which can both help or hinder us; cf. cittavṛtti.
