Uzès (French pronunciation: ; Occitan: Usès) is a commune in the Gard department in the Occitanie region of Southern France. Uzès lies about 25 kilometres (16 miles) north-northeast of Nîmes, 40 kilometres (25 miles) west of Avignon, and 32 kilometres (20 miles) southeast of Alès.
