Tumed: Cultures, Regions & Measurement

The Tümed are a Mongol subgroup. Tümed Mongols mainly live in the region around the city of Hohhot, such as Tumed Left Banner and Tumed Right Banner (in Baotou) in China. Most engage in sedentary agriculture in mixed communities. Another Tümed group live in Chaoyang, Liaoning. There are a small number of Tümeds in Ömnögovi Aimag, Mongolia.
