Polygnotus

Polygnotus (/pɒlɪɡˈnoʊtəs/; Greek: Πολύγνωτος Polygnotos) was an ancient Greek painter active in the middle of the 5th century BC. Later scholars of the Classical World considered him to be one of the first great painters, sometimes even the inventor of the artform.
