Patras (/pəˈtræs, ˈpætrəs/; Greek: Πάτρα, romanized: Pátra pronounced ⓘ; Katharevousa and Ancient Greek: Πάτραι; Latin: Patrae) is the capital and largest city of Western Greece, in the northern Peloponnese, 215 km (134 mi) west of Athens.
