Azimuth

An azimuth (/ˈæzəməθ/ ⓘ; from Arabic: اَلسُّمُوت, romanized: as-sumūt, lit. 'the directions') is the horizontal angle from a cardinal direction, most commonly north, in a local or observer-centric spherical coordinate system.
