Lanark

Lanark (/ˈlænərk/ LAN-ərk; Scottish Gaelic: Lannraig [ˈl̪ˠaun̪ˠɾɪkʲ]; Scots: Lanrik) is a historic market town in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, located 12 miles to the south-east of Hamilton. The town lies on the River Clyde, at its confluence with Mouse Water. It had a population of 8,943 in 2022.
