Jerome Kohlberg Jr. (July 10, 1925 – July 30, 2015) was an American businessman and investor. He was an early pioneer in the private equity and leveraged buyout industries, founding private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR & Co.) and later Kohlberg & Company.
