The Gaudi script (Gāuṛi lipi) or Proto-BAMO script is an abugida in the Brahmic family of scripts. By the fourteenth century, Gaudi script had begun to differentiate and gradually developed into the Bengali-Assamese, Odia,, Maithili script and Newari.
