The Gathas (/ˈɡɑːtəz, -tɑːz/) are the central texts of Zoroastrianism, often attributed to Zarathushtra himself. They are composed in Old or Gathic Avestan and represent the oldest attestation of an Iranian language, as well as one of the oldest remnants of Indo-European literature.
