The cümbüş (/dʒuːmˈbuːʃ/; Turkish pronunciation: ) is a Turkish stringed instrument of relatively modern origin. It was developed in 1930 by Zeynel Abidin Cümbüş as an oud-like instrument that could be heard as part of a larger ensemble.
