Codrus

Codrus (/ˈkɒdrəs/; or /ˈkoʊdrəs/; Greek: Κόδρος, Kódros) was the last of the semi-mythical Kings of Athens (r. ca 1089–1068 BC). He was an ancient exemplar of patriotism and self-sacrifice.
