Citharode

A kitharode (Latinized citharode) (Ancient Greek: κιθαρῳδός ; Latin: citharoedus) or citharist, was a classical Greek professional performer (singer) of the cithara, as one who used the cithara to accompany their singing. Famous citharodes included Terpander, Sappho, and Arion.
