Vegavis iaai

Vegavis je rod pravěkého ptáka, možná nejstaršího známého vrubozobého, resp. praptáka z příbuzenstva tohoto řádu. Jednalo se o jednoho z nejstarších známých zástupců korunové skupiny ptáků (tedy skupiny, do které patří i dnešní "moderní" ptáci). Žil v období nejpozdnější křídy (asi před 69 až 68 miliony let) na území dnešní Antarktidy.
