Skatol (z řeckého σκῶρ, genitiv σκᾰτός „lejno“) je nepříjemně páchnoucí indolová sloučenina. Vzniká rozkladem bílkovin obsahujících tryptofan a tvoří bílé krystaly. Vyskytuje se v lidských a zvířecích výkalech, v sekretu cibetek a v řadě rostlin. Také maso kanců obsahuje skatol.
