Pyrodictium je rod jednobuněčných organismů, které žijí ve stěnách tzv. černých kuřáků, hydrotermálních průduchů na mořském dně. Patří mezi extrémofily, přesněji řečeno je hypertermofilní, jejich růstové optimum je 105 °C.
