Protagonista

Protagonista (řecky prótagónistés) je původně hlavní herec v antickém řeckém divadle. V prvních starořeckých hrách patrně vystupoval pouze chór a náčelník chóru. Předpokládá se, že prvního herce (protagonistu) uvedl na scénu Thespis, aby zvýšil variabilitu děje a spád.
