Parkinsonova nemoc

Parkinsonova choroba je neurodegenerativní onemocnění centrální nervové soustavy, které přímo souvisí s úbytkem nervových buněk v části mozku nazvané Substantia nigra (černá substance). Tyto buňky za normálního stavu produkují dopamin, což je neurotransmiter (přenašeč), který zajišťuje přenos signálů mezi nervovými buňkami (neurony).
