Nutace (z lat. nutare, kývat, kolísat) je kývavý či kolísavý pohyb osy otáčení nedokonale symetrického rotujícího tělesa, jako je setrvačník, planeta nebo letící projektil. Nutace může být podélná, pokud znamená kolísání rychlosti precese, anebo příčná, pokud se děje kolmo k precesnímu pohybu.
