Nefelinit je tmavá jemnozrnná vyvřelá hornina složená zejména z nefelínu a klinopyroxenu. Pokud obsahuje také olivín, bývá označována jako olivinický nefelinit. Podobá se čediči, který se od něj spolu s bazanitem a jejich odrůdami liší ve vzájemných poměrech plagioklasu a nefelínu.
