Mikroprocesor

Mikroprocesor (zkráceně µP či uP) je v informatice označení pro centrální procesorovou jednotku (zkratka CPU, anglicky central processing unit), která je jako celek uložena do pouzdra integrovaného obvodu nebo do několika integrovaných obvodů. Postupně zpracovává jednotlivé instrukce programu, čímž realizuje požadovanou funkci.
