Longue durée (franc.; něm. lange Dauer), doslova "dlouhé trvání", znamená historické procesy, které lze pozorovat a pochopit jen ve velmi dlouhém časovém měřítku. Zároveň je to program historického bádání, které si všímá především takových velmi pomalých, ale důležitých vývojových procesů a strukturálních změn.
