Ligand

Ligand je atom, ion nebo molekula, která poskytuje jeden nebo více elektronových párů centrálnímu atomu (ligand vystupuje jako Lewisova báze). Takto vytvořená vazba se nazývá koordinačně kovalentní. Existují také ligandy, které se chovají jako Lewisovy kyseliny, ale jsou vzácnější (například hydrazin).
