Kňaz (rusky князь, bulharsky княз) je archaické označení někdejších panovníků či vůdců slovanských feudálních monarchií nebo i jiného politického zřízení (údělné knížectví) v 9.–16. stoletích u Slovanů a některých dalších národů. Úzce souvisí s výrazem kněz / kněžka.
