Parenchym je druh pletiva rostlin, ale někdy se tímto termínem označují i tkáně podobné struktury u živočichů. Je tvořen tenkostěnnými buňkami. Rozdělujeme parenchym destičkový (pokožka) a palisádový či houbový (v listech).
