Heliosféra je obal částic obklopující Slunce. Nejspodnější a relativně nejchladnější vrstvou heliosféry je fotosféra. Nad fotosférou se rozprostírá chromosféra a dále nad ní žhavá koróna. Heliosféra končí tam, kde se vyrovnává tlak slunečního větru s tlakem okolních hvězd.
