Falanga

Falanga (řecky φάλαγξ, falanx – „bitevní řada“) je sevřená obdélníková formace pěchoty, obvykle hoplítů, kopiníků či halapartníků, která po značnou část starověku a středověku dominovala evropským bojištím. Pro maximální využití svého potenciálu potřebovala falanga volný prostor.
