Esterifikace je chemická reakce, při které z organické nebo anorganické kyslíkaté kyseliny a alkoholu vzniká ester. V běžné praxi se esterifikací rozumí hlavně reakce karboxylové kyseliny a alkoholu za vzniku esteru karboxylové kyseliny a vody.
