Eskalátor (též pohyblivé schody, jezdící schody) je speciální řetězový dopravník, určený pro dopravu osob mezi různými výškovými úrovněmi. Pracuje na principu řetězově propojených článků, resp. stupňů, které cyklicky obíhají po pevné dráze. Tvoří tak pohyblivé schodiště, zpravidla doplněné o přidržovací madlo (pár madel).
