Escobaria

Escobaria je rostlinný rod z čeledi kaktusovité (Cactaceae). Botanické jméno bylo zvoleno na počest mexických botaniků – bratrů Rómula Escobara Zermana (1882–1946) a Numa Pompilia Escobara Zermana (1874–1949). Typovým druhem je Escobaria strombiliformis Scheer ex Boedeker (syn. Escobaria tuberculosa, (Engelmann) Br.&R.)
