Elektrofil (řecky jantar (ήλεκτρον) - česky elektron, řecky philos - česky přítel) je chemická látka, která při chemické reakci přijímá elektronový pár poskytnutý nukleofilem, čímž vzniká chemická vazba. Všechny molekuly nebo ionty s nedostatkem elektronů mohou reagovat jako elektrofily.
